Our Vision is to make fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.
At the start of 2020, we launched a review of our vision and were looking to produce something that we would launch around Easter time. Due to the covid-19 crisis, this didn’t happen. At the start of 2022, we spent some time looking at the story of Nehemiah and the theme of Renew, Restore, Rebuild. We believe this message is important to the church as we emerge from the pandemic. Following the sermon series, the PCC met for an away day in early March to start looking at what the Lord might be asking of us.
On 4th September 2022, we launched our new Vision. Copies of the Vision document are available in the church. We will be working through the document and aiming to implement some of the ideas over the coming weeks and months. It is an exciting time for Christchurch!
Our 5 “building blocks” for this new season are:
1. To be Christ Centred
2. To love one another
3. To develop our discipleship
4. To be invitational
5. To be out in the community
If you have any questions about the vision or Christchurch, please contact the Vicar, The Rev’d Tim Madeley on tim@christchurch-bushmead.org.uk
As a PCC, we are keen to make sure that the vision is still what the Lord is asking of us. In 2024, there will be a vision review and once that has been completed, it will be reflected on this page.
